Sweet Escape • Fun Things to Do in Montauk
My heartmate and I returned to Montauk where we first met a year ago. We were pretty crazy for meeting in Montauk for our first date but sometimes, when you know, you know. We went scouting for wedding locations this time around. Kidding! But we're definitely looking :P It was for his annual summer get together with all his homies and I'm so happy to be a part of the family. I love all his friends. It's definitely something I'll look forward to every summer from now on. Montauk is absolutely chill. Here are some fun places to visit when you're there! You can also check out the spots on my instagram #DabinMontauk. Enjoy!
The Surf Lodge
183 Edgemere Street, Montauk, NY 11954
The Surf Lodge is like Palm Springs' Ace Hotel of Montauk. Super hip and can be a little hard to get in at night. They have some really awesome bands and artists performing here so check it out. Warning, it can also be a bit bro-y.
DITCH PLAINS BEACH
Ditch Plains Rd, Montauk, NY 11954
RUSCHMYER'S
161 Second House Road • Montauk, NY 11954
AMAGANSETT
Just 15 minutes west of Montauk is this quaint town with quite a few beautiful antique and home decor shops. And on the way there, stop by Clam Bar and Bhumi Farms!
LA BRISA
752 Montauk Highway Montauk, New York 11954
DURYEA
65 Tuthill Rd, Montauk, NY 11954
I'll never forget when we got there and trailing behind us was Sterling Cooper of Mad Men. I was seriously fan girling like crazy. My heartmate restricted from taking a photo with him. Whatever! We even joked about how no one was seating us. You know, just me and Sterling shooting the shits. I died. Apparently, you just seat yourself at Duryea. Enjoy some delicious lobster with this beautiful view. It was magical.
